1-2-Reverse Clutch Piston Disassemble

DT-47526 Low and Reverse Brake Spring Compressor

For equivalent regional tools, refer to Special Tools .

1. Remove the snap ring (1).
2. Remove the retaining plate (2), 7 friction plates (3), 7 separator plates (4) and 2 cushion plates (5) from the transmission case (6).




Note: 

•	Do not apply undue stress to the spring retainer assembly.

•	Use the DT-47526 compressor so that force will be applied evenly to the spring retainer assembly.

3. Depress the spring retainer assembly (2) using the DT-47526 compressor (3) and remove the circlip (1).
4. Remove the spring retainer assembly.




Note: Air must be blown gradually at low pressure so as not to tilt low and reverse brake clutch piston. If the low and reverse brake clutch piston is hard to remove by blowing air with an air gun (1), pull it out using pliers.

5. Blow air into the oil inlet (2) of the control valve installation side to remove the low and reverse brake piston.
6. Remove the low and reverse brake piston (3) and O-rings (4).
