Heater Core Replacement — Right Hand Drive

1. Remove the air conditioning (A/C) evaporator and blower module assembly. Refer to Air Conditioning (A/C) Evaporator and Blower Module Assembly Replacement .
2. Remove the right side floor air outlet duct. Refer to Floor Air Outlet Duct Replacement - Right Side : Right Hand Drive → Left Hand Drive .



3. Disconnect the evaporator air temperature sensor connector from the heater core pipe side cover.
4. Remove the heater core pipe side cover screws (1).
5. Remove the heater core pipe side cover (2).
6. Remove the automatic A/C engine coolant temperature sensor, if equipped. Refer to Automatic A/C Engine Coolant Temperature Sensor Replacement : Right Hand Drive → Left Hand Drive .



7. Remove the heater core pipe tube seal (1).
8. Remove the heater core pipe under cover screw (2).
9. Remove the heater core pipe under cover (3).



10. Remove the heater core (1) from the A/C evaporator and blower module assembly.

1. Install the heater core (1) to the air conditioning evaporator and blower module assembly.



2. Install the heater core pipe under cover (3).

Caution: Refer to Fastener Caution in the Preface section.

3. Install the heater core pipe under cover screw (2) and tighten to 1.2 N·m (11 lb in).
4. Install the heater core pipe tube seal (1).



5. Install the automatic A/C engine coolant temperature sensor, if equipped. Refer to Automatic A/C Engine Coolant Temperature Sensor Replacement : Right Hand Drive → Left Hand Drive .
6. Install the heater core pipe side cover (2).
7. Install the heater core pipe side cover screws (1) and tighten to 1.2 N·m (11 lb in).
8. Connect the evaporator air temperature sensor connector to the heater core pipe side cover.
9. Install the right side floor air outlet duct. Refer to Floor Air Outlet Duct Replacement - Right Side : Right Hand Drive → Left Hand Drive .
10. Install the air conditioning evaporator and blower module assembly. Refer to Air Conditioning (A/C) Evaporator and Blower Module Assembly Replacement .
