Power Steering Pump Belt Replacement

Note: Mark on the retaining bolt with the power steering pump bracket before removal.

1. Remove the air cleaner inlet duct. Refer to Air Cleaner Assembly Replacement .




Note: Do not remove bolts.

2. Loosen power steering pump retaining bolts (1,2).
3. Raise the vehicle.



4. Remove the right front compartment splash shield (1).



5. Loosen the bolt (1).
6. Remove the power steering pump belt.

1. Install the power steering pump belt.
2. Lower the vehicle.

Caution: Refer to Fastener Caution in the Preface section.




3. Pull the power steering pump to the marking position and tighten bolts (1,2) to 22 N·m (16 lb ft).
4. Raise the vehicle.



5. Tighten the bolt (1) to 22 N·m (16 lb ft).



6. Install the right front compartment splash shield (1).
7. Lower the vehicle.
8. Install the air cleaner inlet duct. Refer to Air Cleaner Assembly Replacement .
