Engine Mount Replacement - with CH-49290

Removal Procedure
Note: The SPX installation manual is supplied with the special tool and is also available online from SPX directly. Go to www.spxtools-shop.com.
- Assemble the CH-49290 engine support tool (1) according to the details provided in the SPX installation manual.
- Install the torque support (2) to the engine.
- Support the CH-904 base frame on a jack.
- Support the CH-49290 engine support tool on the CH-904 base frame.
Note: The SPX installation manual is supplied with the special tool and is also available online from SPX directly.
- Install the CH-49290 engine support tool (1) according to the details provided in the SPX installation manual.
Note: DO not remove power steering fluid hose and coolant hose from power steering fluid reservoir and coolant surge tank.
- Remove 2 power steering fluid reservoir bolts (1) and unclip power steering fluid reservoir and support it on the engine.
- Remove the 2 bolts (2).
- Reposition and retain the coolant surge tank (5) away from the engine mount in order to provide clearance for removal of the engine mount.
- Remove the 2 engine mount nuts (2).
- Remove the engine mount bolt (3).
- Remove the 3 engine mount to body retaining bolts (1).
- Remove the engine mount (4).
Installation Procedure
- Install the engine mount (4).
Caution: Refer to Fastener Caution in the Preface section.
- Install the 3 engine mount to body retaining bolts (1) and tighten to 50 N·m (37 lb ft).
- Install the bolt (3) and tighten to 58 N·m (43 lb ft).
- Install the 2 nuts (2) and tighten to 58 N·m (43 lb ft).
- Install the coolant surge tank (5).
- Tighten 2 bolts (2) to 9 N·m (80 lb in).
- Clip power steering fluid reservoir to coolant surge tank.
- Tighten 2 bolts (1) to 9 N·m (80 lb in).
- Remove the CH-49290 engine support tool (1)
- Remove the CH-49290 engine support tool from the CH-904 base frame .
- Remove the CH-904 base frame from the jack.
- Disassemble the CH-49290 engine support tool (1).
- Remove the torque support (2) from the engine.
