Transmission Mount Replacement - Left Side — with CH-49290

Special Tools

For equivalent regional tools, refer to Special Tools .

1. Remove the battery tray. Refer to Battery Tray Replacement .




Note: The SPX installation manual is supplied with the special tool and is also available online from SPX directly. Go to www.spxtools-shop.com.

2. Assemble the CH-49290 engine support tool (1) according to the details provided in the SPX installation manual.
3. Install the torque support (2) to the engine.
4. Support the CH-904 base frame on a jack.
5. Support the CH-49290 engine support tool on the CH-904 base frame.




Note: The SPX installation manual is supplied with the special tool and is also available online from SPX directly.

6. Install the CH-49290 engine support tool (1) according to the details provided in the SPX installation manual.



7. Remove the left transmission mount bolt (1) from the transmission mount bracket.
8. Remove the left transmission mount nut (2) from the transmission mount bracket.



9. Remove the left transmission mount to body bolts (1).
10. Remove the transmission mount (2) from the vehicle.

1. Install the transmission mount (2) to the vehicle.

Caution: Refer to Fastener Caution in the Preface section.

2. Install the transmission mount to body bolts (1) and tighten to 50 N·m (37 lb ft).



3. Install the left transmission mount nut (2) onto the transmission mount bracket and tighten to 75 N·m (55 lb ft).
4. Install the left transmission mount bolt (1) onto the transmission mount bracket and tighten to 75 N·m (55 lb ft).



5. Remove the CH-49290 engine support tool (1).
6. Remove the CH-49290 engine support tool from the CH-904 base frame.
7. Remove the CH-904 base frame from the jack.



8. Disassemble the CH-49290 engine support tool (1).
9. Remove the torque support (2) from the engine.
10. Install the battery tray. Refer to Battery Tray Replacement .
