Positive Crankcase Ventilation Oil Separator Removal

    • EN-50514 Holder Camshaft
    • EN-50515 Fixing Tool Camshaft
    • EN-50516 Fixing Tool Crankshaft

  1. Remove the 4 positive crankcase ventilation cover bolts (3).
  2. Remove the positive crankcase ventilation cover (1).
  3. Remove the positive crankcase ventilation cover gasket (2).

  5. Remove the cylinder head core hole plug exhaust side (2) from the camshaft housing (1).
  6. Clean the threads from cylinder head core hole plug and the camshaft housing.

  8. Install the EN-50515 fixing tool  (1) on exhaust side.

  10. Apply pressure at EN-50515 fixing tool  (arrow) and carefully turn the crankshaft at the crankshaft sprocket bolt (2) in the direction of engine rotation (arrow), until EN-50515 fixing tool  (1) engages in the exhaust camshaft.

    Note: If the EN-50516 fixing tool  (1) does not engage with the hole at flywheel (2) and cylinder block, turn the crankshaft at crankshaft sprocket bolt (3) a little out of position.

  12. Install the EN-50516 fixing tool  (1).

    Note: The holding pins from the EN-50514 holder  (1) must be installed exactly in the holes (arrows) from the camshaft sprocket (2).

  14. Install EN-50514 holder  (1) with the EN-956-1 extension to counterhold the camshaft sprocket (2).
  15. Note: Do not remove the camshaft sprocket bolt (3).

  16. Loosen the camshaft sprocket bolt (3).
  17. Remove the EN-50514 holder (1).

    Note: The camshaft sprocket is loosely installed at the exhaust camshaft. Remove the positive crankcase ventilation oil separator carefully.

  19. Remove the camshaft sprocket bolt (1).
  20. Remove the positive crankcase ventilation oil separator (2).
  21. Install the camshaft sprocket bolt to anticipate that the camshaft sprocket falls off from the camshaft.
