Oil Pressure Diagnosis and Testing

Special Tools

For equivalent regional tools, refer to Special Tools .

1. Open the bonnet.
2. Disconnect the oil pressure indicator switch wiring harness plug.



3. Remove the oil pressure indicator switch (2) from the oil filter housing (1).

1. Install the EN-135 adapter  (1) to the oil filter housing.
2. Install theGE-498-B gauge  (1) to the EN-135 adapter  (2).
3. Start the engine.
4. Check the oil pressure. At the idle speed, the oil pressure must be higher than 100 kPa (1 bar) and the oil temperature must be 80°C (176°F) or more.
5. Switch off the engine.
6. Remove the GE-498-B gauge .
7. Remove the EN-135 adapter .

Caution: Refer to Fastener Caution in the Preface section.

1. Install the oil pressure indicator switch and tighten to 32 N·m (24 lb ft).
2. Connect the oil pressure indicator switch wiring harness plug.
3. Close the bonnet.
