Oil Pressure Diagnosis and Testing
Special Tools

Removal Procedure
- Open the bonnet.
- Disconnect the oil pressure indicator switch wiring harness plug.
- Remove the oil pressure indicator switch (2) from the oil filter housing (1).
Measurement Procedure
- Install the EN-135 adapter (1) to the oil filter housing.
- Install theGE-498-B gauge (1) to the EN-135 adapter (2).
- Start the engine.
- Check the oil pressure. At the idle speed, the oil pressure must be higher than 100 kPa (1 bar) and the oil temperature must be 80°C (176°F) or more.
- Switch off the engine.
- Remove the GE-498-B gauge .
- Remove the EN-135 adapter .
Installation Procedure
Caution: Refer to Fastener Caution in the Preface section.
- Install the oil pressure indicator switch and tighten to 32 N·m (24 lb ft).
- Connect the oil pressure indicator switch wiring harness plug.
- Close the bonnet.
