Preliminary Procedures

1. Remove the rear seat. Refer to Rear Seat Replacement : with AM9  → without AM9 .
2. Remove the rear seat cushion pull handle, if equipped. Refer to Rear Seat Cushion Pull Handle Replacement : AM9 .
3. Remove the rear seat back cover and pad. Refer to Rear Seat Back Cushion Cover and Pad Replacement : With 60 Percent Seat  → With 40 Percent Seat .
4. Remove the rear seat inner recliner covers. Refer to Rear Seat Recliner Inner Finish Cover Replacement .

Rear Seat Backrest Cushion Latch Release Handle Assembly

Procedure

1. Disconnect the seat backrest latch cables from the recliners.
2. Slide the handle assembly forward to remove from the seat backrest frame.
