Battery Positive Cable Replacement - LE5

1. Record all of the radio station presets.
2. Disconnect the battery negative cable. Refer to Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection .



3. Open the fuse block cover.
4. Remove the battery positive cable nut (2) from the fuse block.
5. Remove the battery positive cable clamp (1) from the battery post.



6. Remove the battery positive nut (1) from the starter solenoid.

Note: Observe how the battery positive cable was routed within the engine compartment.

7. Remove the retainers (2) holding the harness to the engine.

Caution: Refer to Fastener Caution in the Preface section.




1. Install the battery positive cable and engine harness terminal nut (1) to the starter and tighten to 10 N·m (89 lb in).



2. Install the battery positive cable nut (2) to the fuse block and tighten to 10 N·m (89 lb in).
3. Install the battery positive cable clamp nut (1) to the battery and tighten to 10 N·m (89 lb in).



4. Install battery negative cable clamp (1) to the battery and tighten to10 N·m (89 lb in).
5. Reset the radio channel presets.
