Liftgate Window Replacement - Long Body

1. Disconnect the negative battery cable. Refer to Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection .
2. Open the tailgate window.
3. Disconnect the rear window demister electrical connector.

Warning: Refer to Glass and Sheet Metal Handling Warning in the Preface section.




4. Remove the tailgate window strut. Refer to Tailgate Window Strut Replacement .
5. With the aid of an assistant, remove the bolts and tailgate glass from the vehicle.

Caution: Refer to Fastener Caution in the Preface section.




1. Install the tailgate glass with the bolts and tighten to 6 N·m (53 lb in).
2. Install the tailgate window strut. Refer to Tailgate Window Strut Replacement .



3. Connect the rear window demister electrical connector.
4. Close the tailgate window.
5. Connect the negative battery cable. Refer to Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection .
