Preliminary procedures

1. Remove the oxygen sensor. Refer to Heated Oxygen Sensor Replacement - Sensor 2 : LE5, LE9 or LAF
2. Remove the exhaust manifold heat shield. Refer to Exhaust Manifold Heat Shield Replacement : LE5

Exhaust Front Pipe Nut (Qty 3)

Caution: Refer to Fastener Caution in the Preface section.

Tighten
50 N·m (37 lb ft)

Exhaust Manifold Bolt (Qty 3)

Tighten
50 N·m (37 lb ft)

Exhaust Bracket Bolt

Tighten
50 N·m (37 lb ft)

Seal

Tip
Replace with NEW seals.
