Crankshaft and Bearing Removal

1. Remove the 5 crankshaft rear oil seal retainer bolts (2).
2. Remove the crankshaft rear oil seal retainer (1) along with the crankshaft rear oil seal (3).
3. Remove the crankshaft rear oil seal (3) from the crankshaft rear oil seal retainer (1).




Note: Mark the crankshaft bearing caps to ensure they will be installed in the same position.

4. Loosen the 10 crankshaft bearing caps in a sequence as shown.



5. Remove the 10 crankshaft bearing cap bolts (4).
6. Remove the 5 crankshaft bearing caps (5).

Note: Mark the crankshaft bearing sequence to ensure they will be installed in the same position.

7. Remove the 5 crankshaft bearings (3).
8. Remove the crankshaft (2).

Note: Mark the crankshaft bearing sequence to ensure they will be installed in the same position.

9. Remove the 5 crankshaft bearings (1).



10. Remove the 3 crankshaft position sensor reluctor ring bolts (1).
11. Remove the crankshaft position sensor reluctor ring (2) from the crankshaft (3).




Note: Mark the crankshaft thrust bearing sequence to ensure they will be installed in the same position.

12. Remove the crankshaft thrust bearings (1).
