Vacuum Pump Installation

  1. Clean the sealing surfaces.

    Note: The vacuum pump gearing has to align with the camshaft notch (1).

  2. Install a NEW vacuum pump seal ring (1).

    3. Note: Mind the guide sleeves.

  3. Install the vacuum pump (2).

    4. Caution: Refer to Fastener Caution in the Preface section.

  4. Install the 3 vacuum pump bolts (3) and tighten to 24 N·m (18 lb ft).
