Piston and Connecting Rod Assemble

1. Mind the marks on the piston rings:

•	The upper compression ring is marked with T.

•	The lower compression ring is marked with 2T.




2. Install the piston rings. Use a piston ring plier (1).



3. The piston rings must be ordered as followed:

•	Upper compression ring (1)

•	Lower compression ring (2)

•	Oil ring (3)

•	Ring spring (4)

4. The piston ring joints must be displaced 90° to each other.




Note: Lubricate the piston pin and the piston bore with engine oil.

5. Install the connecting rod (3) to the piston (2).

Note: The marks (4) on the connecting rod must show in direction to the mark (1) on the top of the piston.

6. Install the piston pin (5).

Note: The piston pin retainer must be installed in the position as shown in the extensional graphic.

7. Install the piston pin retainer (6).
