- Mind the marks on the piston rings:
• | The upper compression ring is marked with T. |
• | The lower compression ring is marked with 2T. |
- Install the piston rings. Use a piston ring plier (1).
- The piston rings must be ordered as followed:
• | Upper compression ring (1) |
• | Lower compression ring (2) |
- The piston ring joints must be displaced 90° to each other.
Note: Lubricate the piston pin and the piston bore with engine oil.
- Install the connecting rod (3) to the piston (2).
Note: The marks (4) on the connecting rod must show in direction to the mark (1) on the top of the piston.
- Install the piston pin (5).
Note: The piston pin retainer must be installed in the position as shown in the extensional graphic.
- Install the piston pin retainer (6).
