Engine Coolant Thermostat Housing Installation

1. Clean the sealing surfaces.
2. Install a NEW thermostat housing sealing (1).
3. Install the thermostat housing (2).
4. Loosely install the 2 thermostat housing nuts (3).

Caution: Refer to Fastener Caution in the Preface section.

5. Install the thermostat housing bolt (6) and tighten to 24 N·m (18 lb ft).
6. Tighten the thermostat housing nuts to 24 N·m (18 lb ft).
7. Install the bracket (5) and the bracket nut (4) and tighten to 12 N·m (106 lb in).
