Upper Oil Pan Installation

1. Clean the sealing surfaces.

Note: Refer to electronic parts catalogue to find a suitable sealing compound.

2. Apply sealing compound to the upper oil pan.



3. Install the upper oil pan (1).

Caution: Refer to Fastener Caution in the Preface section.

4. Install the 10 short upper oil pan bolts (3) and tighten to 10 N·m (89 lb in).
5. Install the 4 long upper oil pan bolts (2) and tighten to 10 N·m (89 lb in).
6. Install the 2 upper oil pan nuts (4) and tighten to 10 N·m (89 lb in).
