Oil Pump Drive Shaft Gear Installation

  1. Install the oil pump gear (1).
  2. Install the oil pump gear nut (2).

    3. Caution: Refer to Fastener Caution in the Preface section.

  3. Tighten the oil pump gear nut while holding up the oil pump gear (1) with a socket wrench (2) in the following order :
    4. 3.1. Tighten the oil pump gear nut to 60 N·m (44 lb ft).
    3.2. Wait for 60 seconds.
    3.3. Loosen the oil pump gear nut.
    3.4. Tighten the oil pump gear nut again to 60 N·m (44 lb ft).
