Oil Pump Installation

Special Tools

For equivalent regional tools refer to Special Tools .

1. Clean the sealing surfaces.
2. Clean the oil pump assembly parts from old engine oil and dust.




Note: The entire procedure - applying of sealing compound and tightening with appropriate torque - must not take more than 10 minutes.

Note: Refer to electronic parts catalogue to find a suitable sealing compound.

3. Install a NEW sealing (1) to the oil pump.
4. Apply sealing compound along the shaded area (2).




Note: Lubricate the oil pump rotors with engine oil.

5. Install the oil pump outer rotor (1) and the oil pump inner rotor (2).




Note: Mind the guide sleeves.

6. Install the oil pump housing (1).

Caution: Refer to Fastener Caution in the Preface section.

Note: Mind the different bolt lengths.

7. Install the 9 oil pump bolts (2) and tighten to 10 N·m (89 lb in).



8. Install the oil pump drive shaft seal, using EN-657 installer  (1).



9. Install the crankshaft front oil seal, using EN-656 installer  (1).
