Draining Fluids and Oil Filter Removal

1. Remove the oil pan drain plug and allow the oil to drain out.
2. Remove the engine oil filter cap (1) in compound with:

•	engine oil filter cap seal ring (2)

•	2 oil filter seal (4)

•	oil filter element (3)

3. Install the engine oil filter cap (1) in compound with:

•	NEW oil filter element (3)

•	2 NEW oil filter seal (4)

•	NEW engine oil filter cap seal ring (2)

Caution: Refer to Fastener Caution in the Preface section.

4. Tighten the engine oil filter cap to 25 N·m (18 lb ft).
5. Install the oil pan drain plug and a NEW seal ring and tighten to 20 N·m (15 lb ft).
