Air Conditioning Compressor Bracket Replacement

1. Open the bonnet.
2. Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle .
3. Remove the right front compartment splash shield. Refer to Front Compartment Splash Shield Replacement .
4. Remove the drive belt from crankshaft balancer, drive belt tensioner and air conditioning compressor. Refer to Drive Belt Replacement .



5. Disconnect the air conditioning compressor wiring harness plug (3).
6. Unclip the air conditioning compressor wiring harness from the 2 retainer clips (1) and (2).

Note: Do not remove the air conditioning compressor and condenser hose from air conditioning compressor.

7. Remove the air conditioning compressor from the air conditioning compressor bracket and hang aside. Refer to Air Conditioning Compressor Replacement .



8. Remove the 3 air conditioning compressor and power steering pump bracket bolts (1).
9. Remove the air conditioning compressor and power steering pump bracket (2).

1. Install the air conditioning compressor and power steering pump bracket (2).

Caution: Refer to Fastener Caution in the Preface section.

2. Install the 3 air conditioning compressor and power steering pump bracket bolts (1) and tighten to 22 N·m (16 lb ft).
3. Install the air conditioning compressor to air conditioning compressor bracket. Refer to Air Conditioning Compressor Replacement .
4. Install the drive belt to crankshaft balancer, drive belt tensioner and air conditioning compressor. Refer to Drive Belt Replacement .
5. Install front compartment splash shield right side. Refer to Front Compartment Splash Shield Replacement .
6. Lower the vehicle.
7. Close the bonnet.
