Warning: Petrol or petrol vapours are highly flammable. A fire could occur if an ignition source is present. Never drain or store petrol or diesel fuel in an open container, due to the possibility of fire or explosion. Have a dry chemical (Class B) fire extinguisher nearby.

Preliminary Procedure

1. Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle .
2. Disconnect the fuel filter assembly wiring harness plugs.

Fuel Feed Pipe - Fuel Tank Fuel Pump to Fuel Filter Housing

Procedure

Disconnect the fuel feed pipe connector. Refer to Plastic Collar Quick Connect Fitting Service .

Fuel Feed Pipe - Fuel Filter to Fuel Feed Pipe

Procedure

Disconnect the fuel feed pipe connector. Refer to Plastic Collar Quick Connect Fitting Service .

Fuel Filter Assembly

Procedure

Unclip the fuel filter assembly with a small screwdriver and remove the fuel filter assembly in direction of arrow as shown in the graphic.
