1. Driver Door Latch Malfunction 2. Passenger Door, Left Rear Door and Right Rear Door Latches Malfunction |
The keyless entry control module will detect the keyless entry transmitter when an exterior door handle is pulled and the transmitter is within 1 metre (3 feet) of the door handle, the body control module (BCM) will unlock the doors and send the unlatch enable signal to keyless entry control module.
The system voltage is 9-16 V.
The keyless entry control module detects a short to voltage for greater than 3 seconds on the driver door lock actuator unlock control circuit.
The keyless entry control module detects a short to voltage for longer than 3 seconds on the door lock control circuit.
The driver door will require two pulls of their exterior door handle to unlock the door and then to unlatch the door.
The passenger, left rear and right rear doors will require two pulls of their exterior door handles to unlock the doors and then to unlatch the doors.
• | This DTC will be current for as long as the fault is present |
• | When the fault is no longer present, the DTC will be a history DTC |
• | A history DTC will clear after 40 ignition cycles |

⇒ | If the driver door will not unlock and unlatch with a single pull of the driver door handle, refer to Driver Door Release Command Malfunction. |
⇒ | If the passenger door will not unlock and unlatch with a single pull of the door handle, refer to Passenger and Rear Door Release Command Malfunction. |
⇒ | If the test lamp is ON, test the signal circuit for a short to voltage. If the circuit tests normal, replace the K9 BCM. |
