Catalytic Converter Installation - 1.7L Diesel LUD, LUE

1. Install a NEW catalytic converter gasket (1).
2. Install the catalytic converter (3).
3. Clip the exhaust temperature sensor wiring harness plug (2) to the retainer clip.
4. Loosely install the 3 catalytic converter bolts (4).



5. Loosely install the 2 catalytic converter bracket bolts (1) to the catalytic converter bracket (2).

Caution: Refer to Fastener Caution in the Preface section.

6. Tighten the catalytic converter bolts to 45 N·m (33 lb ft).
7. Tighten the catalytic converter bracket bolts to 25 N·m (18 lb ft).
