Fuel Rail Installation - 1.7L Diesel LUD, LUE

Special Tools

For equivalent regional tools, refer to Special Tools .

Caution: Refer to Fastener Caution in the Preface section.




1. Install the fuel injection fuel rail (4).
2. Install the 2 fuel injection fuel rail brackets (1).
3. Loosely install the 2 fuel injection fuel rail bolts (3).
4. Loosely install the 2 fuel injection fuel rail bracket nuts (2).
5. Tighten the 2 fuel injection fuel rail bolts (3) to 24 N·m (18 lb ft).
6. Tighten the 2 fuel injection fuel rail bracket nuts (2) to 10 N·m (89 lb in).



7. Remove the plugs from the fuel injector connections (1) and the fuel rail connections (2).
8. Install the 4 fuel injector fuel feed pipes (3).
9. Install the 8 fuel injector fuel feed pipe connecting nuts and tighten to 25 N·m (18 lb ft), using the GE-6600-1 torque wrench and theGE-6600-308 bit .
