Fuel Rail Disassembly - 1.7L Diesel LUD, LUE

EN-6368 Set of Plugs

For equivalent regional tools refer to Special Tools .

Note: Ensure that the fuel rail is closed with EN-6368 plugs (1) and the fuel injector fuel return hose banjo bolt (2).

1. Use a brush to clean the pressure limiter valve thread area (3).
2. Use cleaning solvent to clean the pressure limiter valve thread area.

Warning: Refer to Safety Glasses and Compressed Air Warning in the Preface section.

3. Use an air gun to dry and blow out cleaning solvent residue from the pressure limiter valve thread area.



4. Use the clamp position (1, 2).




Note: Use aluminium braces (1) to protect the fuel rail from damage.

Note: Ensure that the pressure sensor is not positioned between the vice clamps.

Note: Allow the remaining fuel in the fuel rail to drain out.

5. Clamp the fuel rail to a bench vice as shown, with the pressure limiter valve (2) facing down.
6. Remove the pressure limiter valve.
