Transmission Mount Replacement - Left Side

Special Tools

    • CH-49290 Engine Support Tool
    • EN-45095 Angle Meter

For equivalent regional tools, refer to Special Tools .

Removal Procedure

  1. Remove the battery tray. Refer to Battery Tray Replacement .
  2. Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle .

  4. Assemble the CH-49290 support tool (1) according to the details provided in the SPX installation manual.
  5. Support the CH-904 base frame on a jack.
  6. Support the CH-49290 support tool on the CH-904 base frame.

  8. Install the CH-49290 support tool (1) according to the details provided in the SPX installation manual.
  9. Lower the vehicle.

  11. Remove and DISCARD the left transmission mount bolts (1) from the transmission mount bracket (2).

  13. Remove the left transmission mount to body bolts (1).
  14. Remove the left transmission mount to body nut (2).
  15. Remove the transmission mount (3) from the vehicle.

Installation Procedure

  1. Install the transmission mount (3) to the vehicle.
  2. Caution: Refer to Fastener Caution in the Preface section.

    Caution: Refer to Torque-to-Yield Fastener Caution in the Preface section.

  3. Install the transmission mount to body bolts (1) and tighten to 62 N·m (46 lb ft).
  4. Install the transmission mount to body nut (2) and tighten to 62 N·m (46 lb ft).

  6. Install the 3 NEW left transmission mount bolts (1) to the transmission mount bracket (2) and tighten a first pass to 50 N·m (37 lb ft).
  7. Tighten the 3 NEW transmission mount bolts (1) a final pass to an additional 60 - 70 degrees, using the EN-45095 meter .
  8. Raise the vehicle.

  10. Lower the CH-49290 support tool (1) with the CH-904 base frame and a jack.
  11. Remove the CH-49290 support tool from the CH-904 base frame.

  13. Disassemble the CH-49290 support tool (1) according to the details provided in the SPX installation manual.
  14. Lower the vehicle.
  15. Install the battery tray. Refer to Battery Tray Replacement .
