Automatic Transmission Flex Plate Installation

Special Tools

For equivalent regional tools, refer to Special Tools .

1. Install the automatic transmission plate (1).
2. Install the 6 NEW automatic transmission plate retaining bolts (2). Do not tighten the bolts.



3. Fix the automatic transmission plate, using the EN-50432 fixing tool (1) as shown in the illustration above.

Caution: Refer to Fastener Caution in the Preface section.

Caution: Refer to Torque-to-Yield Fastener Caution in the Preface section.




4. Tighten the automatic transmission plate retaining bolts (2) in 2 steps:

•	First Step: Tighten to 60 N·m (44 lb ft).

•	Second Step: Tighten to additional 45°. Use a EN-470-B meter .
