1. Door Handle Switch Malfunction 2. Door Unlatch Malfunction |
The system is designed so that when the operator approaches a locked vehicle with the keyless entry transmitter, the keyless entry control module will detect the keyless entry transmitter and when an exterior door handle is pulled the keyless entry control module will command all doors to unlock and the door to unlatch allowing the door to be pulled open.

⇒ | If a value for an exterior door handle is always Active or Inactive, refer to Exterior Door Handle Malfunction. |
⇒ | If the driver door does not perform as specified, refer to Driver Door Latch Malfunction. |
⇒ | If all the doors do not perform as specified, refer to Passenger and Rear Door Release Command Inoperative. |
⇒ | If a single door does not perform as specified, refer to Passenger or Rear Door Latch Malfunction. |
⇒ | If the value does not change, refer to Door Handle Lock Sensor Malfunction. |
⇒ | If the value does not change, refer to Door Handle Lock Sensor Malfunction. |
⇒ | If greater than the specified range, test the ground circuit for an open/high resistance. |
⇒ | If not the specified value, test the signal circuit terminal 2 for a short to ground. If the circuit tests normal, replace the K84 keyless entry control module. |
⇒ | If not the specified value, test the signal circuit for a short to voltage or an open/high resistance. If the circuit tests normal, replace the K84 keyless entry control module |
⇒ | If the test lamp does not illuminate, test the signal circuit tor a short to voltage or an open/high resistance. If the circuit test normal, replace the K84 keyless entry control module. |
⇒ | If not the specified value, test the signal circuit for a short to ground. If the circuit tests normal, replace the K9 BCM. |
⇒ | If the test lamp is always ON, test either control circuit for a short to voltage. If the circuit tests normal, replace the K84 keyless entry control module. |
⇒ | If the test lamp is always OFF, test either control circuit for a short to ground or an open/high resistance. If the circuit tests normal, replace the K84 keyless entry control module. |

⇒ | If the test lamp does not illuminate, test either control circuit for a short to ground or an open/high resistance. If the circuit tests normal, replace the K84 keyless entry control module. |
⇒ | If greater than the specified range, test the ground circuit for an open/high resistance. |
⇒ | If not the specified value, test the appropriate signal circuit terminal 3 for a short to ground. If the circuit tests normal, replace the K84 keyless entry control module. |
⇒ | If not the specified value, test the signal circuit for a short to voltage or an open/high resistance. If the circuit tests normal, replace the K84 keyless entry control module. |
⇒ | If not the specified value, replace the B27 door handle switch. |
⇒ | If greater than the specified range, replace the B27 door handle switch. |
⇒ | If it does not perform as specified, replace the A23 door latch assembly. |
