Transmission Mount Bracket Replacement - Rear — LAF and LBN

Removal Procedure
  1. Remove the three-way catalytic converter. Refer to Three-Way Catalytic Converter Replacement .

  2. Remove transmission brace to transmission bolt (3) and to engine block bolt (2).
  3. Remove transmission brace (1).
  4. Using a suitable jack stand, support the rear of the transmission.

  5. Remove the transmission rear mount through bolt (3).
  6. Remove the 2 transmission rear mount bracket to transmission bolts (1, 2).
  7. Remove heat shield (4)
  8. Remove the transmission rear mount bracket (5).

Installation Procedure

  1. Install the transmission rear mount bracket (5).
  2. Install heat shield (4)

    3. Caution: Refer to Fastener Caution in the Preface section.

  3. Install the 2 transmission rear mount bracket to transmission bolts (1, 2) and tighten to 100 N·m (74 lb ft).
  4. Install the transmission rear mount through bolt (3) and tighten to 100 N·m (74 lb ft).
  5. Remove the jack stand.

  6. Install transmission brace (1).
  7. Install transmission brace to transmission bolt (3) 100 N·m (74 lb ft) and to engine block bolt (2) 58 N·m (42 lb ft).
  8. Install the three-way catalytic converter. Refer to Three-Way Catalytic Converter Replacement .
