Water Inlet Replacement

1. Remove the radiator outlet hose. Refer to Radiator Outlet Hose Replacement : 1.8L 2H0 → 2.0L Diesel LNP → LAF .
2. Remove the radiator surge tank outlet hose. Refer to Radiator Surge Tank Outlet Hose Replacement : 2.0L LBN and 2.4L LAF → 2.0L Diesel LNP .



3. Remove the 2 water inlet bolts (2) and the water inlet (4) with the gasket (5).

Caution: Refer to Fastener Caution in the Preface section.




1. Install the water inlet (4) with the NEW gasket (5) and install the 2 water inlet bolts (2) and tighten to 10 N·m (89 lb in).
2. Install the radiator surge tank outlet hose . Refer to Radiator Surge Tank Outlet Hose Replacement : 2.0L LBN and 2.4L LAF → 2.0L Diesel LNP .
3. Install the radiator outlet hose. Refer to Radiator Outlet Hose Replacement : 1.8L 2H0 → 2.0L Diesel LNP → LAF .
