Exhaust Manifold Heat Shield Replacement — 2.4L LAF

Warning: Refer to Protective Goggles and Glove Warning in the Preface section.

Caution: Refer to Exhaust Flexible Pipe Bending Caution in the Preface section.

1. Remove the intake manifold cover. Refer to Intake Manifold Cover Replacement .



2. Remove the 3 exhaust manifold heat shield bolts (2).
3. Remove the exhaust manifold heat shield (1).

1. Install the exhaust manifold heat shield (1).

Caution: Refer to Fastener Caution in the Preface section.

2. Install the 3 exhaust manifold heat shield bolts (2) and tighten the bolts to 10 N·m (89 lb in).
3. Install the inlet manifold cover. Refer to Intake Manifold Cover Replacement .
