Evaporative Emission Canister Purge Solenoid Valve Replacement

1. Remove the intake manifold cover. Refer to Intake Manifold Cover Replacement .
2. Loosen the evaporative emission canister purge tube from the evaporative emission canister purge solenoid valve. Refer to Plastic Collar Quick Connect Fitting Service .
3. Loosen the evaporative emission tube from the evaporative emission canister purge solenoid valve. Refer to Plastic Collar Quick Connect Fitting Service .



4. Remove the evaporative emission canister purge solenoid valve bolt (2) and the evaporative emission canister purge solenoid valve (1).

Caution: Refer to Fastener Caution in the Preface section.




1. Install the evaporative emission canister purge solenoid valve (1) and the evaporative emission canister purge solenoid valve bolt (2) and tighten to 10 N·m (89 lb in).
2. Install the evaporative emission tube to the evaporative emission canister purge solenoid valve. Refer to Plastic Collar Quick Connect Fitting Service .
3. Install the evaporative emission canister purge tube to the evaporative emission canister purge solenoid valve. Refer to Plastic Collar Quick Connect Fitting Service .
4. Install the inlet manifold cover. Refer to Intake Manifold Cover Replacement .
