Engine Coolant Fan Wiring Harness Replacement — 2.0L LBN and 2.4L LAF
Removal Procedure
Disconnect the battery negative cable. Refer to
Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection

Remove the front bumper fascia. Refer to
Front Bumper Fascia Removal and Installation
.
Unclip the air conditioning refrigerant pressure sensor wiring harness from the radiator clip (2).
Disconnect the air conditioning refrigerant pressure sensor wiring harness plug (1).
Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to
Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle
.
Remove the front compartment insulator. Refer to
Front Compartment Insulator Replacement
.
Disconnect the 2 wiring harness connectors (1).
Unclip the 2 wiring harness clips (2).
Lower the vehicle.
Remove the wiring harness ground cable nut (2) and the wiring harness ground cable (1).
Unclip the wiring harness ground cable clip (9).
Disconnect the engine coolant fan motor wiring harness plug (3).
Unclip the wiring harness from the engine coolant fan shroud holders (4, 5, 7).
Unclip the wiring harness clips (6, 8) from the engine coolant fan shroud.
Remove the engine coolant fan wiring harness from the vehicle.
Installation Procedure
Position the engine coolant fan wiring harness to the vehicle.
Clip in the wiring harness clips (6, 8) to the engine coolant fan shroud.
Clip in the wiring harness to the engine coolant fan shroud holders (4, 5, 7).
Connect the engine coolant fan motor wiring harness plug (3).
Clip in the wiring harness ground cable clip (9).
Install the wiring harness ground cable (1).
Caution:
Refer to
Fastener Caution
in the Preface section.
Install the wiring harness ground cable nut (2) and tighten to
10 N·m (89 lb in)
.
Raise the vehicle.
Connect the 2 wiring harness connectors (1).
Clip in the 2 wiring harness clips (2).
Install the front compartment insulator. Refer to
Front Compartment Insulator Replacement
.
Lower the vehicle.
Connect the air conditioning refrigerant pressure sensor wiring harness plug (1).
Clip in the air conditioning refrigerant pressure sensor wiring harness to the radiator clip (2).
Install the front bumper fascia. Refer to
Front Bumper Fascia Removal and Installation
.
Connect the battery negative cable. Refer to
Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection
