ENGINE CONTROLS - 2.0 DIESEL

Caution : Disconnect the negative battery cable before removing or installing any electrical unit o r w hen a tool or equipment could easily come in contact with exposed electrical terminals. Disconnecting this cable will help prevent personal injury and damage to the vehicle. The ignition must also be in LOCK unless otherwise noted.

Fuel System Specification

Diesel

Diesel enigne must be operated only on commercially available diesel fuel meeting the specifications of DIN EN 590. Do not use marine diesel oils, heating oils or entirely or partially plant-based diesel fuels, such as rape seed oil or bio diesel, Aquazole and similar diesel-water emulsions.
The flow and filterability of diesel fuel are temperature-dependent.
Diesel fuels with improved low-temperature properties are therefore available on the market during the winter months. Make sure that you fill the tank with winter fuel before the start of the cold weather season.
