Air Conditioning Compressor and Condenser Hose Replacement - 2.0L Diesel LLW

Removal Procedure

  1. Recover the refrigerant. Refer to Refrigerant Recovery and Recharging .
  2. Remove front bumper fascia. Refer to Front Bumper Fascia Replacement .

  4. Remove air conditioning compressor and condenser hose nut (1) from A/C condenser (2).

  5. 2028101
  6. Remove A/C compressor and condenser hose nut (1) from A/C compressor (2).

  7. 2027259
  8. Remove air conditioning compressor and condenser hose nut (1) from refrigerant hose (2).
  9. Remove air conditioning compressor and condenser hose.

Installation Procedure

    Note: Use NEW O-ring seals. Refer to Air Conditioning O-Ring Seal Replacement .

  1. Install air conditioning compressor and condenser hose.
  2. Caution: Refer to Fastener Caution in the Preface section.

  3. Install air conditioning compressor and condenser hose nut (1) to refrigerant hose (2). Tighten nut to 19 N·m (14 lb in).

  5. Install air conditioning compressor and condenser hose nut (1) to A/C compressor (2). Tighten nut to 19 N·m (14 lb in).

  6. 2027253
  7. Install air conditioning compressor and condenser hose nut (1) to A/C condenser (2). Tighten nut to 19 N·m (14 lb in).
  8. Install front bumper fascia. Refer to Front Bumper Fascia Replacement .
  9. Evacuate and charge the refrigerant system. Refer to Refrigerant Recovery and Recharging .
