Crankshaft and Bearing Installation

Note: Lubricate the crankshaft bearings and crankshaft with new engine oil.

1. Install the 5 crankshaft bearings (1) in their original position.

Note: Take extreme care to prevent any scratches, nicks or damage to the crankshaft.

2. Install the crankshaft (3).
3. Install the crankshaft position sensor inner excitor ring (5).

Caution: Refer to Fastener Caution in the Preface section.

Note: Insert bolts with bolt locking compound.

4. Install the 3 crankshaft position sensor inner excitor ring bolts (6) and tighten to 12 N·m (107 lb in).
5. Install the crankshaft gear (2).
6. Install the 5 crankshaft bearings (4) in their original position.
