Fuel Return Hose Replacement - Fuel Return Pipe to Fuel Injection Pump
Removal Procedure
Warning: Refer to Petrol/Petrol Vapours Warning in the Preface section.
- Disconnect the battery negative cable. Refer to Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection .
- Remove the engine cover. Refer to Engine Cover Replacement .
- Remove fuel return front hose clamp (3).
- Remove fuel return front hose (2) from the fuel return pipe to fuel injection pump.
- Remove the fuel return hose clamp (2).
- Remove the fuel leak off clips (4).
- Remove the 2 fuel return hose nuts (1).
Note: Be careful do not damage the leak off plastic connectors on the top from the injectors.
- Remove the fuel return hose - fuel return pipe to fuel injection pump (3).
Installation Procedure
- Install the fuel return hose - fuel return pipe to fuel injection pump (3).
Caution: Refer to Fastener Caution in the Preface section.
Note: Be careful do not damage the leak off plastic connectors on the top from the injectors.
- Install the 2 fuel return hose nuts (1) and tighten to 9 N·m (80 lb in).
- Install the fuel leak off clips (4).
- Install the hose clamp (2).
- Install the fuel return front hose (2) to the fuel return pipe to fuel injection pump.
- Install the fuel return front hose clamp (3).
- Install the engine cover. Refer to Engine Cover Replacement .
- Connect the battery negative cable. Refer to Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection .
