Fuel Return Hose Replacement - Fuel Return Pipe to Fuel Injection Pump

Warning: Refer to Petrol/Petrol Vapours Warning in the Preface section.

1. Disconnect the battery negative cable. Refer to Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection .
2. Remove the engine cover. Refer to Engine Cover Replacement .



3. Remove fuel return front hose clamp (3).
4. Remove fuel return front hose (2) from the fuel return pipe to fuel injection pump.



5. Remove the fuel return hose clamp (2).
6. Remove the fuel leak off clips (4).
7. Remove the 2 fuel return hose nuts (1).

Note: Be careful do not damage the leak off plastic connectors on the top from the injectors.

8. Remove the fuel return hose - fuel return pipe to fuel injection pump (3).

1. Install the fuel return hose - fuel return pipe to fuel injection pump (3).

Caution: Refer to Fastener Caution in the Preface section.

Note: Be careful do not damage the leak off plastic connectors on the top from the injectors.

2. Install the 2 fuel return hose nuts (1) and tighten to 9 N·m (80 lb in).
3. Install the fuel leak off clips (4).
4. Install the hose clamp (2).



5. Install the fuel return front hose (2) to the fuel return pipe to fuel injection pump.
6. Install the fuel return front hose clamp (3).
7. Install the engine cover. Refer to Engine Cover Replacement .
8. Connect the battery negative cable. Refer to Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection .
