Engine Flywheel Replacement

Removal Procedure
- Remove the transmission:
- Install EN-652 locking tool (1) to fix the engine flywheel.
- Remove and DISCARD the 6 engine flywheel bolts (2).
- Remove the engine flywheel (1).
- Check the crankshaft rear oil seal (1) replace if necessary.
Note: Be careful do not damage the sealing surfaces.
- Use EN-45000 remover (1) to remove the crankshaft rear oil seal (2).
- Remove the crankshaft rear oil seal (2).
Installation Procedure
- Use the EN-48251 installer (2) to install a NEW crankshaft rear oil seal (1).
- Install the NEW crankshaft rear oil seal (1).
- Install the engine flywheel (1).
Note: Clean thread before insert bolt with locking compound (red). The maximum installation time including torque check is 10 minutes.
- Install the 6 NEW engine flywheel bolts (2).
- Install EN-652 locking tool (1) to fix the engine flywheel.
Caution: Refer to Fastener Caution in the Preface section.
Caution: Refer to Torque-to-Yield Fastener Caution in the Preface section.
- Tighten the 6 NEW engine flywheel bolts to 105 N·m (77 lb ft).
- Install the torque converter. Refer to Torque Converter Installation .
- Install the transmission. Refer to
Transmission Replacement : 2.0L Diesel LNP → 1.6L LXT, L2W, LDE and 1.8L 2H0 → 2.0L Diesel LLW .
- Install the transmission:
