Engine Oil Cooler Outlet Pipe Replacement - LDE, LXV, LUW, 2H0

1. Remove the exhaust manifold. Refer to Exhaust Manifold Replacement : 2.0L Diesel LNP → 1.6L LXT,L2W → 2.0L Diesel LLW → 1.6L LDE, LXV, 1.8L 2H0, and LUW .
2. Drain the cooling system. Refer to Cooling System Draining and Filling .



3. Remove the 2 engine oil cooler outlet pipe bolts (1).
4. Remove the engine oil cooler outlet pipe (2) from the engine oil cooler housing and the engine coolant thermostat housing.
5. Remove the 2 engine oil cooler outlet pipe gaskets.

1. Clean the engine oil cooler outlet pipe sealing surfaces.
2. Install the 2 NEW engine oil cooler outlet pipe gaskets.



3. Install the engine oil cooler outlet pipe (2) to the engine oil cooler housing and the engine coolant thermostat housing.

Caution: Refer to Fastener Caution in the Preface section.

4. Install the 2 engine oil cooler outlet pipe bolts (1) and tighten to 8 N·m (71 lb in).
5. Fill the cooling system. Refer to Cooling System Draining and Filling .
6. Install the exhaust manifold. Refer to Exhaust Manifold Replacement : 2.0L Diesel LNP → 1.6L LXT,L2W → 2.0L Diesel LLW → 1.6L LDE, LXV, 1.8L 2H0, and LUW .
