Engine Oil Cooler Inlet Pipe Replacement - 2.0L Diesel LLW

Removal Procedure
  1. Remove the catalytic converter heat shield. Refer to Catalytic Converter Heat Shield Replacement : 1.4L LUH and LUJ → 1.6L LDE, LXV, 1.8L 2H0, and LUW → 2.0L Diesel LLW .
  2. Drain engine oil. Refer to Engine Oil and Oil Filter Replacement .

  3. Remove the 2 engine oil cooler hose heat shield nuts (1).
  4. Remove the engine oil cooler hose heat shield bolt (3).
  5. Remove the engine oil cooler hose heat shield (2).

  6. Remove the 2 engine oil cooler inlet hose clamps (2).
  7. Remove the engine oil cooler inlet hose (1).

Installation Procedure

  1. Install the engine oil cooler inlet hose (1).
  2. Install the 2 engine oil cooler inlet hose clamps (2).

  3. Install the engine oil cooler hose heat shield (2).

    4. Caution: Refer to Fastener Caution in the Preface section.

  4. Install the 2 engine oil cooler hose heat shield nuts (1) and tighten to 33 N·m (25 lb ft).
  5. Install the engine oil cooler hose heat shield bolt (3) and tighten to 20 N·m (15 lb ft).
  6. Fill engine oil. Refer to Engine Oil and Oil Filter Replacement .
  7. Remove the catalytic converter heat shield. Refer to Catalytic Converter Heat Shield Replacement : 1.4L LUH and LUJ → 1.6L LDE, LXV, 1.8L 2H0, and LUW → 2.0L Diesel LLW .
