Vacuum Pump Assembly Replacement

1. Open bonnet.
2. Remove engine cover. Refer to Engine Cover Replacement .
3. Remove air cleaner outlet front duct. Refer to Air Cleaner Outlet Front Duct Replacement .



4. Remove the air cleaner outlet pipe bracket bolt (1).
5. Remove the air cleaner outlet pipe clamp (2).
6. Remove the air cleaner outlet pipe (3) from the turbocharger.



7. Remove the wiring harness plug (2).
8. Remove 4 wiring harness clips (1) from the bracket (3).



9. Remove the 2 nuts (2) from the wiring harness bracket (1).
10. Remove the wiring harness bracket (1).



11. Remove the 4 vacuum pump bolts (2).
12. Remove the vacuum pump (1).
13. Remove the vacuum pump gasket (3).

1. Install a NEW vacuum pump gasket (3).

Note: Ensure that the vacuum pump surface and cylinder head surface are clear of old gasket material.

2. Install the vacuum pump (1).

Caution: Refer to Fastener Caution in the Preface section.

3. Install the 4 vacuum pump bolts (2) and tighten to 12 N·m (107 lb in).



4. Install the wiring harness bracket (1).
5. Install the 2 wiring harness bracket nuts (2) and tighten to 20 N·m (15 lb ft).



6. Install 4 wiring harness clips (1) to the bracket (3).
7. Install the wiring harness plug (2).



8. Install the air cleaner outlet pipe (3) to the turbocharger.
9. Install the air cleaner outlet pipe clamp (2).

Caution: Refer to Fastener Caution in the Preface section.

10. Install the air cleaner outlet pipe bracket bolt (1) and tighten to 5 N·m (45 lb in).
11. Install air cleaner outlet front duct. Refer to Air Cleaner Outlet Front Duct Replacement .
12. Install engine cover. Refer to Engine Cover Replacement .
13. Close bonnet.
