Exhaust Gas Recirculation Valve Replacement

1. Open the bonnet.
2. Remove the exhaust gas recirculation pipe. Refer to Exhaust Gas Recirculation Pipe Replacement .
3. Remove the 2 exhaust gas recirculation valve bolts (1).
4. Remove the exhaust gas recirculation valve (2).
5. Remove the exhaust gas recirculation valve gasket (3).

1. Install a NEW exhaust gas recirculation valve gasket (3).
2. Install the exhaust gas recirculation valve (2).

Caution: Refer to Fastener Caution in the Preface section.

3. Install the 2 exhaust gas recirculation valve bolts (1) and tighten to 25 N·m (19 lb ft).
4. Install the exhaust gas recirculation pipe. Refer to Exhaust Gas Recirculation Pipe Replacement .
5. Close the bonnet.
