Camshaft Removal

Note: Observe removal sequence 1-5.

1. Loosen the 10 exhaust camshaft bearing cap bolts, working from outside to inside in a spiral in steps of 1/2 up to 1 turn.
2. Remove the 10 camshaft bearing cap bolts.

Note: Mark camshaft bearing caps before removal.

3. Remove the 5 camshaft bearing caps.
4. Remove the exhaust camshaft.



5. Loosen the 10 inlet camshaft bearing cap bolts, working from outside to inside in a spiral in steps of 1/2 up to 1 turn.
6. Remove the 10 inlet camshaft bearing cap bolts.

Note: Mark camshaft bearing caps before removal.

7. Remove the 5 inlet camshaft bearing caps.
8. Remove the inlet camshaft.
9. Remove the camshaft seals.
