Air Conditioning Compressor and Condenser Hose Replacement - LDE, LLU, LXV, and 2H0

Removal Procedure

  1. Recover the refrigerant. Refer to Refrigerant Recovery and Recharging
  2. Remove front bumper fascia. Refer to Front Bumper Fascia Replacement

  3. 2027253
  4. Remove A/C compressor and condenser hose nut (1) from A/C condenser (2).

  5. 2027255
  6. Remove A/C compressor and condenser hose bolt (1) from A/C compressor (2).

  8. Remove A/C compressor and condenser hose nut (1) from refrigerant hose (2).
  9. Remove A/C compressor and condenser hose.

Installation Procedure

  1. Use NEW system seals. Refer to Air Conditioning System Seal Replacement
  2. Install A/C compressor and condenser hose.
  3. Caution: Refer to Fastener Caution in the Preface section.

  4. Install A/C compressor and condenser hose nut (1) to refrigerant hose (2). Tighten nut to 19 N·m (14 lb ft).

  6. Install A/C compressor and condenser hose bolt (1) to A/C compressor (2). Tighten bolt to 19 N·m (14 lb ft).

  7. 2027253
  8. Install A/C compressor and condenser hose nut (1) to A/C condenser (2). Tighten nut to 19 N·m (14 lb ft).
  9. Install front bumper fascia. Refer to Front Bumper Fascia Replacement
  10. Evacuate and charge the refrigerant system. Refer to Refrigerant Recovery and Recharging
