Evaporative Emission Canister Purge Solenoid Valve Replacement

Removal Procedure

Warning: Refer to Fuel Escape Warning in the Preface section.

  1. Open the bonnet.
  2. Remove the fuel tank vent pipe from the evaporative emission canister purge solenoid valve. Refer to Fuel Tank Vent Pipe Replacement .

  3. Disconnect the vacuum hose (1) from the evaporative emission canister purge solenoid valve (2).

  4. Unclip and remove the evaporative emission canister purge solenoid valve (1) from the bracket (2).

Installation Procedure

  1. Install the evaporative emission canister purge solenoid valve (1) to the bracket (2).

  2. Connect the vacuum hose (1) to the evaporative emission canister purge solenoid valve (2).
  3. Install the fuel tank vent pipe from the evaporative emission canister purge solenoid valve. Refer to Fuel Tank Vent Pipe Replacement .
  4. Close the bonnet.
