Engine Coolant Temperature Sensor Replacement - Radiator

1. Open the bonnet.
2. Disconnect the battery negative cable. Refer to Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection
3. Drain the cooling system. Refer to Cooling System Draining and Filling .
4. Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle .



5. Disconnect the engine coolant temperature sensor whirring harness plug (3).
6. Unlock the retaining clamp (2).
7. Remove the engine coolant temperature sensor (1).

1. Install the engine coolant temperature sensor (1) with a NEW seal.
2. Fasten the engine coolant temperature sensor retaining clamp (2)
3. Connect the engine coolant temperature sensor whirring harness plug (3).
4. Lower the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle .
5. Fill the cooling system. Refer to Cooling System Draining and Filling .
6. Connect the battery negative cable. Refer to Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection
7. Close the bonnet.
