Oil Pressure Diagnosis and Testing

Special Tools

For equivalent regional tools, refer to Special Tools : 1.6L LXT .

1. Remove the closure bolt (1).
2. Clean the thread.

1. Install theEN 49423 gauge (2).
2. Install the EN 49418 adapter (1).
3. Start the engine.
4. Check oil pressure.

At idling speed, the oil pressure must be at least 130 kPa (18.85 psi) and the oil temperature must be >=80°C (170°F).

1. Switch off the engine.
2. Remove the EN 49418 adapter.
3. Remove theEN 49423 gauge.
4. Install new closure bolt in the cylinder head.

Caution: Refer to Fastener Caution in the Preface section.

5. Tighten the closure bolt to 15 N·m (11 lb ft)
6. Check the engine oil level.
