Air Inlet Valve Actuator Replacement — Right Hand Drive

Removal Procedure
  1. Remove the instrument panel compartment. Refer to Instrument Panel Compartment Replacement .

  2. Remove the air inlet valve actuator gear (1).

    3. 2188768
  3. Disconnect the air inlet valve actuator electrical connector.
  4. Remove the 2 air inlet valve actuator screws (2).
  5. Remove the air inlet valve actuator (3).

Installation Procedure

    Caution: Refer to Fastener Caution in the Preface section.

  1. Install the air inlet valve actuator (3).
  2. Install the 2 air inlet valve actuator screws (2) and tighten to 2.5 N·m (22 lb in).
  3. Connect the electrical connector.

  4. Install the air inlet valve actuator gear (1).
  5. Install the instrument panel compartment. Refer to Instrument Panel Compartment Replacement .
  6. For recalibration of the air inlet valve actuator, refer to Actuator Recalibration .
