Oil Pressure Relief Valve Replacement

1. Remove the air conditioning compressor and the power steering pump bracket. Refer to Air Conditioning Compressor and Power Steering Pump Bracket Removal



2. Remove bolt (5) with seal ring (4) from the oil pump housing (1).
3. Remove oil pressure relief valve spring (3).
4. Remove oil pressure relief valve (2).

Visually check parts:

Note: Check for trapping.

Caution: Refer to Fastener Caution in the Preface section.





Note: Coat with engine oil.

1. Install the oil pressure relief valve (2) and the oil pressure relief valve spring (3).
2. Use a NEW seal ring (4).
3. Install the bolt (5) to the oil pump housing (1) and tighten to 50 N·m (37 lb ft)
4. Install the air conditioning compressor and the power steering pump bracket. Refer to Air Conditioning Compressor and Power Steering Pump Bracket Removal
